Social

In the social aspect, we have worked close with local communities to develop projects that promote their well-being and development among which we can mention: the support provided to education, health and employment projects in the communities near the airport.  

We are convinced that the impact that we can generate in society as a company is defined, not only by our economic and environmental performance, but also by our social investment initiatives. For this reason, we have a Social Management Plan, which includes several projects that directly benefit six parishes near the airport: Puembo, Pifo, Tababela, Yaruquí, Checa and El Quinche.  

This plan, which is part of the Environmental License granted by the Ministry of Environment, Water and Ecological Transition, is a tool focused on sustainability and good relations with the community, which was approved at the beginning of the previous year, and defines the social investment to be made annually. It includes monitoring of regulatory compliance by airport contractor and subcontractor companies and strengthens corporate volunteering, circular economy and sustainability actions.
